That is a cycling holiday with everything you need: mountains and valleys, historic cities like the mentioned Salzburg and Udine, 2 Unesco World Heritages, Palmanova and Aquileia and at the end you’ll enjoy the sunny beach and the sea. You can do this in the time span of a holiday.

In a week, with possibly also 20/40 km of bike and train routes, it is possible to complete the Alpe Adria cycle path or a bike tour through all the panoramas that Friuli Venezia Giulia has to offer completely to experience. Take advantage also of the train and bus connection with bike transport in case of bad weather or if you are getting tired.
In Sommer time there are daily bus connections for example from Grado back to Udine.
Many cyclists decided in the last years to come back to Udine by bus, to overnight in Udine and take the train to come back to the starting point of their holiday (Tarvisio, Villach, Salzburg) the last day of their holiday.
We let you know, the most convenient day to overnight in Udine on your coming back is on Sunday.
